He was called to Abu Dhabi Festival in 2013 to participate by his short movie in which he earned the reward to have his movie produced with Robert Bosch Stiftung Foundation. In 2013, he also published his third book “Alienation”. He mentioned that it was not easy to have it published as he approached around 50 American publication houses, and most of them declined his request. However, after a month, one of the American publication houses was interested in publishing his book, and within 6 months, it was published.
The screenwriter Asim Altokhais graduated from Vancouver Film School in 2011 with honor, but convincing his parents was one of the obstacles he faced. After 6 months, his parents were convinced about his unique career, but his father declared that he would not help him financially.
Moreover, Asim is keen on cars from a young age, and he had the dream to write about them. Hence, he was persistent to go to Riyadh Newspaper everyday for a year to persuade them about his idea, and finally he was accepted to work for unpaid 6 months.
After that, he left the newspaper looking for a bigger dream which is publishing two books, and he overcame the financial obstacle by selling his car. He finally could publish his book and novel (Master of Darkness).
His parents and friends did not believe in his action, and thought that he won’t succeed. However, Asim proved the opposite as he could sell 2000 copies of his novel and he is currently writing 3 parts of it, so people who were against him, they are now encouraging him to continue.

“I am a screenwriter, I graduated from Vancouver Film School majoring in writing and film TV. I published three books till now, and I wrote several short films, and now working on feature film and novel. I am planning on doing my own comics in the very future. I love driving cars, motorcycles and test driving them. Besides that, I am a movie freak, I always go to cinema to watch movies. They are the world that I live in. I am creative, very humble, and I love having more experience with people, interact with others and see what they have. I do not mind working with others. It is the opportunity I am looking for. And I am planning to do that with everybody who is willing to participate with me.
